It is a brand-new architect designed venue created for successful events from a small, intimate nuptial celebration to a wedding with a large number of guests.
We appreciate that today’s brides are looking for very specific features. A photogenic setting, good food and congenial service are just the beginning. We book just one event for the day so the bride and her family are exclusive hosts to their guests.The wedding party can enjoy the visual splendour of a reception hall (Oakroom), the bar/lounge marquee through to the main wedding marquee overlooking a graceful vista of a waterfall, glimmering lakes and an unbroken view towards Cefn Bryn and Arthur’s Stone – set in photogenic private grounds.

Most weddings need accommodation for their guests and people have higher expectations |than ever before.You will be proud to invite your guests to the Oldwalls’ cottages which have won awards for their eco-friendly design and sustainable services. For your wedding, all accommodation is set aside for your private use, giving your guests exclusive access to all our facilities – a disabled-friendly room is also available.There is a special rate for wedding guests.
Additionally, Oldwalls has a number of quality accommodation providers locally for those weddings needing extra rooms (transport to and from Oldwalls can be arranged).
You will all enjoy the Bed & Breakfast experience at Oldwalls. Have a cosy second nuptial breakfast with your overnight guests in the Oakroom Use the whole complex
exclusively for your family, guests and pets.

Church Wedding
Have a traditional church wedding in the beautiful St Illtyd’s Church in Llanrhidian village.
Commanding unforgettable estuary views, this historic 13th century church will hold 150 guests and offers striking and unusual photo opportunities for your unique wedding album.
St Illtyd’s will conduct wedding ceremonies for couples who live outside the parish – you do not have to be resident in the area.
Oldwalls Oakroom
A brand new architect designed venue, the Oakroom is licensed to hold civil ceremonies with the Registrar officiating.We can cater for small, intimate weddings as well as for events with an extensive guest list.This lovely room has a medieval ambience with vaulted ceilings and the mellow charm of natural local oak, slate and stone used in its design.The private grounds complete with waterfall, private lakes and an unbroken view to Cefn Bryn and Arthur’s Stone, make the perfect setting for memorable
photographs.We can also provide a huge array of support services to bring every aspect of your celebration together.
Marquee
Our full-sized marquee is licensed for civil ceremonies and is ideal for holding exceptionally large weddings.
The Great Outdoors
We are licensed to hold a civil ceremony outdoors in our private grounds.Weather permitting, you can have the unique experience of an al fresco wedding at Oldwalls.
About Style and Luxury
Our 5star luxury marquee provides an exotic oasis atmosphere. Sited on a purpose-built area alongside the Oakroom, this up-market marquee offers decked and paved walkways, dance floors, up-lighters, exterior lighting and full disabled facilities, with electric and water mains fitted and luxury toilets in the adjacent Oakroom.
The marquee overlooks the waterfall and trout lake and commands an unbroken vista up to Arthur’s Stone crowning the backbone of Gower – Cefn Bryn Ridge.
Inside you can let your imagination run free.
Make your design decisions from a wide selection of interior linings, including blackout lining with fibre optic lighting, creating a magical night sky effect.
Marquees by Dragon Events
Dragon Events have sited two spectacular marquees that are entered from the Oakroom.
The bar and lounge have French doors leading out on to the patio area.Through the bar you enter the main marquee that has the capacity to cater for 70 – 150 for your wedding breakfast and 200 – 250 for the evening entertainment. It is designed so that it can be screened suitably for smaller weddings.
Silk drapes section off the dance floor/DJ and band area – with the romantic gleam of star lights all around.These marquees offer a unique atmosphere for your perfect wedding with a host of options to create your special theme based around your taste and colours.

About Greast Taste
Resident chef Sam Mullan has picked up many international influences from his recent round the world travels, bringing extra flair and panache to your special occasion.
Sam believes firmly in cooking with fresh, local ingredients. He will talk over your requirements with you, and is more than happy to create any type of meal of your choice. He can cater for all individual needs from vegetarians to guests with food allergies.
Evening catering
This is based around your requirements and budget with options ranging from hog roast or a giant paella to a traditional buffet from £7.95.
